SAD NEWS ABOUT SPEAKERBIZCON

This is one of those accouncements we hoped we’d never have to make. After weeks of watching, waiting, and trying to find a way through, we’ve had absolutely no option but to cancel this year’s SpeakerBizCon in the U.S.

The ongoing federal government shutdown has taken this decision out of our control by making the situation far too unstable, particularly around flights and logistics. The FAA and major airports are reporting thousands of cancellations and delays, and with things changing daily, we just couldn’t guarantee that speakers, attendees, and suppliers would even be able to get there.

To make matters worse, over the past few weeks we’ve had a significant number of speakers and potential attendees tell us outright that they’re holding off or pulling out because of the uncertainty. That loss of confidence in the market has made it impossible to deliver the kind of full, high-energy event we’d promised you and our community.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking, because we’ve poured everything into building something truly special. And we know how much belief, time, and support our partners and everyone who has bought tickets has already given us. But we’d rather hit pause now than go ahead and deliver something that doesn’t reflect the high standards we’ve all built our reputations on.

For us this isn’t the end, just a detour. We’re already regrouping and planning a bigger, better comeback in 2026, once the environment is stable again.

For those who have already purchased tickets (thank you!) a full refund on your ticket price is already being processed, and yours will be with you soon.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us: for your trust, your partnership, and your understanding. We’re devastated this one couldn’t happen, but we’re even more determined to make the next one extraordinary.

With sincere gratitude,

Marty, Michael & Cressida,
The SpeakerBizCon Team
